New Size and Snow

Jack wore his first size 24 months outfit today and it actually fit him pretty well! He's almost 19 months old, but he's had a growth spurt. Some of his clothes that fit a couple weeks ago, no longer fit him in the length. Since I was washing his clothes and everything was pretty much dirty, except for the outfits that were too short, I decided to put this on him thinking that the pants would be way too long, but they worked! I was shocked! We've been kind of mix and match with his sizes. He'd wear 12 months pants, but 18 month shirts, then 18 month pants, but now those are getting too short! I can't believe it! He's getting so big!

We have also been having crazy weather here! It's sort of a snow day for us. It's was really nice and warm earlier last week, but now it's cold and rainy, with some snow mixed in! Jack likes to watch the snow come down. I didn't think it'd stick too well, but it's actually sticking to the streets and stuff! It's almost April, I didn't think we'd get more snow! Usually we're worried about severe weather, not snow/ice! Crazy!

Counting!

Jack counted to 10 today!! It was so cool! It started by me saying "one," as in you better come to me by the time I get to three! I said, "One" (kinda long and drawn out) then he said "oo, ee, or, ive, ick," then I said "seven" and he said, "eh, eye," and I said, "ten!" I had to spell his numbers out they way they sounded coming out of his mouth, not perfect, but he's 18 months! It was darling! So we've been practicing all morning. Soon I will video it! I had no idea he could count like that! Awesome!

Dancing to American Idol

We have been watching American Idol for the past couple of seasons, but this year, Jack is actually old enough to dance to the music when they are performing. A few weeks back, we were watching and a pair from last year came out and danced/sang a duet....Jack was dancing too!

Through the Chair!

We inherited a dining room set from my Grandma Burton, including the table, chairs, hutch, etc., and one of the chairs hasn't been in very good shape for awhile now, well, it finally gave way when Jack was playing on it and this was the end result! I was in the other room and heard a crash and then Kevin told me to, "come see what your son has done," and usually when one parent refers to the child as "YOUR son/daughter" means something bad has happened! I went out and saw him and started laughing then went to grab the camera! It was funny! Poor Jack! I was laughing and he didn't know what to do!

6 is the number of....

.....months we've been trying for a brother or sister for Jack. I don't think a lot of people know we're trying, but here ya go! It's out there now! How was it so easy the first time around?? Oh yeah, we weren't really trying!! But seriously, I know it's up to the good Lord when we get pregnant, but it seems like it's taking forever. There are good things about not being pregnant, like not throwing up all day and not being so tired and still getting to drink my Diet Coke! I try to focus on that stuff when I realize it didn't happen in that month! So here we go...it's waiting time. I've got about a week to wait and see for month 6!
